Frequently Asked Questions

If I have a question about any sort of policy or procedure how can I get a hold of you?

You may e-mail me at or call the Union Hall @ 426-7686 and it will transfer to my cell if it is in the evening after hours. If it is during the day and you get the voicemail, please leave a message, and I will get back with you after I get out of any meetings that I was unable to answer the phone.

No matter what, we want you to get a hold of us regarding any sort of question that could impact your job before it is too late. That is what we are here for.

Why is it important that I get involved and show up at our monthly Union meetings?

You should want to be involved with the extras that our Union offers our members, to develop solidarity amongst our members, and to understand and have a say in the direction that your Union leadership is heading on all issues.

It is imperative that all of our members are informed and are aware of their rights as it pertains to being inside of the workplace.

At each monthly meeting we go through the following,

  1. Previous minutes of the last meeting.
  2. Discuss how all of our financials are being paid and then vote and approve on any future financial proposals.
  3. We are then given griever reports speaking to situations happening inside of the facility where members are able to ask anything they are concerned about pertaining to their areas that they would like for us to look into.
  4. Additionally we address anything regarding special meetings or votes that occur any given month. (For example, Constitutional Changes, Special Membership Votes)

Every member has a vote and if you don't show up, you are allowing others to make decisions on your behalf and how our Union operates.
